Blue Merle Frenchie

One of the more interesting variations of the Merle French bulldog is the blue Merle Frenchie.  Blue Merle Frenchie puppies for sale will have the same broken pattern as any other variant of Merle.  The shaded color will in this case be blue.  So it would be blue over white, as opposed to black, lilac, tan, brown, etc.

Blue Merle Frenchie Puppies are rare and quite expensive.  No two are ever alike and the ones with tan points are super cool.  We produce some amazing merle Frenchies for sale here at Designer usually available in all colors including with or without tan points!

Puppies with tan points and a white chest are often are referred to as tri-color merle Frenchie puppies.  As you can see, our stud Elon is one of the nicest merle French Bulldogs in the United States.  All of our pups come from 270 count DNA health clear parents, grand parents and normally also great grandparents! Merle Frenchie Price

Years ago, Merle Frenchie price points were considered high.  Now since they are more common, the Merle Frenchie cost has come down considerably.  Obviously puppies born from higher quality, more expensive parents are going to cost more.  Lower quality programs and puppy mills may offer their puppies slightly cheaper than us, but you are sacrificing quality to save a couple of thousand dollars.  As the old saying goes and is still relevant with Merle Frenchie puppies, “you get what you pay for”.  Expect lower quality puppies to have health issues that end up costing more than the price of the dog itself.

Interestingly enough, most people who are knew to frenchies in general are unaware of the merle french bulldog puppies colors.  Since our favorite stud to use is our own Elon Sacks, son of the famous Mr. Banks, we always have a few merle french bulldog near me, when we have litters.   Blue merle frenchie pups are rare, stunning and always unique! With the broken patterns, no 2 will ever look the exact same.

Blue Merle Frenchie Cost

The Merle Frenchie cost is typically a bit above the cost for a solid colored puppy. For example, expect to pay more for a blue and tan merle, than a blue and tan pup.  Lastly, the same goes for all other colors.  An Isabella merle Frenchie price will cost more than a solid Isabella pup as another example of the cost or price points.

Other colors include the blue and tan frenchie, which is equally stunning with tan points and a solid blue french bulldog.  We do not work with brindle or pied dogs so you have no risk of having a pied or brindle broken base color.  Blue Frenchie puppies are super cute and were once rare and the most expensive but now are a bit more common.  There were times when many people were on the waiting list for blue frenchie puppies for sale.

Here at DFB, We’ve got a ton of Merle French bulldog information including variations, genetic info and more. Our Merle French bulldog for sale are some of our most popular of all of our pups.  Quality pups are not cheap.  Most importantly, when you are buying from a top quality breeder who focuses on top quality genetics you cannot expect puppy mill pricing.

How much is a merle Frenchie worth?

The merle French bulldog price is anywhere from $6500 up to $30,000 depending on “which color merle it is” and if it is a “fluffy merle Frenchie”.   Like any other, the more common colors are going to be much more affordable than the rare stuff.

Common colors are “black, cocoa, blue”.  Rarer colors that cost more based on how rare they are include “Rojo merle French bulldog, Isabella merle and new shade Isabella merle.  Add in fluffy and the price increases by around 25% per pup.

What color merle Frenchie is most expensive?

That is always changing based on new coat colors and types produced by AKC Frenchie breeders like us.  While some consider us the top or best Frenchie breeders in the USA, we consider ourselves to be in the top tier.  Colors that are the most expensive as of this publication would be Rojo, new shade Rojo, Isabella, new shade Isabella, and pink.

How rare are Merle Frenchies?

Nowadays they are not considered rare, however different color combinations certainly are.  As stated above, the common colors like cocoa, black, and blue are going to be on the cheaper side of things as they are not as rare.  The more rare colors even in merle are still considered harder to produce, and find, and with that expect and increased cost.

Does AKC recognize the merle Frenchie?

Yes.  While there is no AKC box to check for the “merle pattern” you certainly can register your new pup.  You may just have to choose the base coat with white markings as there is no box check for that pattern specifically but yes, in short you can register them fully.

What to know about merle Frenchies for sale

There really isn’t anything different besides if you are breeding your dogs to know specially about this color or coat type.  No, you can never breed two merle French bulldogs together because there is only a certain percentage of that gene that is allowed without causing health issues.  Breeding two together is a no no and should never even be attempted.  When you breed a one merle Frenchie to a normal colored dog, 50% or more of the litter will have that pattern, where as the others will not.

Why can’t you breed two merle Frenchie adults?

As stated above, the quick answer is no.  A breeder should never breed two merle Frenchie adults together because there is only a certain percentage of that gene that is allowed without causing health issues.  Breeding two together is a no no and should never even be attempted.  When you breed a one merle to a normal colored dog, 50% or more of the litter will have that pattern, where as the others will not.

Merle Frenchie health issues

As stated above there really are no health issues specific to the merle pattern.  Of course low quality dogs from low quality breeding programs, hobby breeders, or puppy mills will have issues no matter the color or coat type.  Buying a quality Frenchie for sale is key to having an enjoyable experience with your new dog.  Obviously, quality is not cheap so there is a big reason you will see certain people selling puppies at half the price of others.  As the old saying goes “you get what you pay for” and this could not be more true with Frenchies!

Do merle frenchies have health problems?

All Frenchies can have health issues and merles are no different.  However, buying your puppy from a high level program that breeds DNA health clear dogs should give you piece of mind that you will not have health issues with your puppy no matter the color or coat type.  Merles are no different.  We produce around 50% of our puppies in this pattern or coat type and have had ZERO issues for over a decade working with them.

merle Frenchie price

The merle Frenchie price just depends on the main coat color and type of the dog.  The merle french bulldog cost for a blue for example is going to be cheaper than lilac.  At the same time it is more expensive is the black merle frenchie cost.  Keep in mind that the most expensive color is going to be the Rojo Merle Frenchie price.  Fluffy versions are going to be pricier than non fluffy.

Do not support Frenchie Puppy Mills

Unfortunately, Amish and mid western puppy mills have crowded the puppy space for this wonderful breed of dog, with sick and low quality pups.  These pups will end up costing more at the vet to treat their genetic conditions than a good breeder will charge for a healthy puppy.  For this reason and more, we advise only purchasing a top quality puppy from a reputable breeding program, like ours.
