Usually we have 1 or 2 Isabella French bulldogs available in all of our litters as our moms and dads carry the testable chocolate gene, which provides the Isabella shade. Keep in mind that the Merle version is also amazing and just stunning! The merle Isa will be around the same price as the normal Isabella French bulldog puppies for sale.

- Isabella Merle French Bulldogs are quite rare due to their unique coat color, which is a result of a recessive gene and careful breedings.
- This means that both parents must carry a copy or in some cases 2 copies of the genes for their puppies to appear visually Isabella merle in color. Because of this rarity, they can be more expensive than other French Bulldog colors.
- Merle pups are more expensive than solid colored puppies in general. The rare color Isabella, or in some cases new Shade Isabella is one of thew more expensive colors when looking for a merle puppy.
Why are Isabella merle French Bulldogs so expensive?
- Overall, expenses associated with reproductive care with Frenchies in general contributes to the higher price tag than other breeds of dog.
- Breeding Frenchies can be challenging because they can’t reproduce naturally due to their narrow hips and physical structure. For these reasons and more, extra work and effort and expense is all but required from artificial insemination to the c section. Isabella Frenchie is becoming one of the most popular of all colors of the Frenchie puppy.
What is the rarest merle French Bulldog?
- The rarest colors of French Bulldogs are Rojo, Isabella, lilac, blue, blue and tan, lilac and tan, chocolate, chocolate and tan. All of these colors are of course available with merle. The rarest color at the time of this publication is Rojo.
- So rarer than that would be new shade Rojo. Next would be new shade Isabella, then lilac tan, then lilac, then blue tan, then blue etc.
